Term
AT up!
Meaning
A general call for AT Riflemen in the unit to draw their launchers, move to the front of the unit, and prepare to fire at an armored target. Typically called by the squad leader.
Clear backblast
A call made by the AT Rifleman himself shortly before firing, to ensure that any friendlies directly behind them will move away from the backblast cone - preventing injuries from the firing blast.
Rocket!
or Firing! |
A call made by the AT Rifleman himself immediately before firing. This is both a final reiteration of the "Clear backblast!" call, as well as notifying others to wait with additional rockets until damage to the target (if any) can be assessed.
Dry on AT
Indicates that a unit has no light anti-tank rockets remaining. This unit will likely be unable to handle any armored threat until it can acquire additional launchers/rockets.
Example: "Command, Alpha. We're dry on AT. Can Bravo send someone over to handle this BMP?" |
No effect
Called when a rocket has hit the target, but has apparently failed to stop it from moving/firing. This indicates that another rocket should be fired at the same target, if possible.
Dismounts!
Called when anyone spots the crew of the target vehicle leaving the vehicle on foot - indicating that the vehicle has been abandoned and is no longer a threat. Others nearby will likely open fire at the dismounted troops using Small Arms to ensure they don't become a threat on their own, nor re-mount into the same vehicle and potentially become an armored threat again.
Hunt / Hunting
An AT Rifleman who is moving forward to acquire line-of-sight to an armored target that is not currently visible to other nearby players is said to be "hunting" that target. They may move quite some distance away from their Fireteam during the hunt.
