ACE Interact is a context-sensitive menu added to ArmA 2 and ArmA 3 through the ACE mod, which has been used for most of its run. It allows interacting with a specific game object, including players, vehicles, and others. Players may also ACE-interact with themselves. The menu only contains options relevant to the item being interacted with. ACE Interact augments ArmA's built-in "ADD Action" menu, providing quick options that are not available through ADD. Below is a very partial list of actions that can be carried out through the ACE Interact menu, based on which object is being interacted with. This is by no means a comprehensive list.
Self
• Medical Attention: Diagnosing and treating oneself. This is an alternative to using the vanilla medical interface.
• Switch weapons: Switching one's primary weapon for another weapon stored in the player's backpack or other slots, for example switching to a stand-alone grenade launcher.
• Unit reorganization: Players in a leadership role can use ACE Interact to remove players from their unit, and to change the color of players in their unit's Roster.
• Repacking Magazines: Merging bullets from all magazines in the inventory into as few full magazines as possible, leaving only one partially-empty magazine at most.
Other Players
• Medical Attention: Diagnosing and treating another player. This is an alternative to using the vanilla medical interface.
• Merging: Joining the targeted player's unit.
• Loading an unconscious passenger: ACE Interact on an unconscious player lying next to a vehicle allows loading that player into the vehicle. Before this action was introduced, players had to regain consciousness and enter the vehicle themselves.
Vehicles
• Entering a specific seat: The ACE Interact menu allows the player to enter a specific seat inside the targeted vehicle, such as driver, gunner, or passenger.
• Medical Attention: Providing medical assistance to other players inside the same vehicle (accessible only when inside the vehicle).
• Remove Passenger: Pulling a player out of a vehicle, usually for medical attention.
• Turning off the engine: A player may use ACE Interact to turn off the engine of a vehicle without entering that vehicle.
• Access cargo: ACE Interact allows unloading Resupply Crates from a vehicle. This is the only way to interact with such crates while loaded in a vehicle.
• Repair: ACE Interact may allow certain players to repair the target vehicle. Usually only logistics/engineering players can do this. It is also possible to remove wheels from a wheeled vehicle by targeting them specifically (any player may do this).
Crates
• Loading a crate: When using ACE Interact on a crate lying on the ground next to a vehicle, the menu offers an option to load that crate into the vehicle.
• Turning off beacons: ACE Interact is the only way to turn off a beacon on a resupply crate to prevent its location from being seen on the map.
• Destroying a crate: ACE Interact allows the player to destroy the targeted crate and all of its contents, removing it from the world. This is typically done when the crate is empty or contains only unneeded equipment.
Wheels
• Replacing Wheels: When a wheel is lying on the ground next to a wheeled vehicle that is missing a wheel, this action will affix the wheel to the vehicle at the nearest free axle.
Explosives
• Setting Detonator: Selecting which detonator to place on an Explosive Charge (timer or remote), setting the radio channel for a remote detonator, or setting the delay for a timed detonator.
• Pick up: Disarming and returning an explosive charge to the inventory.
